What Your Donation Funds

100% Volunteer Driven

Our foster families and 501(c)(3) directors are unpaid, so your 100% of your donations are going to the animals! Below are some examples of our rescue needs that your donation will be funding.

Spay/Neuter

Preventing unwanted litters and spread of disease through the spaying/neutering of the Del Rio dogs & cats!

For TNR strays, we also provide a rabies vaccination & FeLV/FIV test.

Foster Supplies

Our foster homes need dog & cat food, beds, litter boxes, toys, bowls, leashes/collars, etc. Monetary donations or supply donations are welcome to help ensure our foster animals are adequately prepared for their new home!

General Medical

All of BAM's adoptables are given their necessary core vaccines and tested to make sure they're healthy. Here's some examples of the general medical expenses your donation would cover:

For cats:

  • FVRCP vaccine (protects against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia) and booster
  • Rabies vaccine
  • Fecal examination (check for intestinal parasites)
  • Witness FeLV/FIV test (Feline Leukemia Virus & Feline Immunodeficiency Virus)
  • Spay/neuter and microchip
  • Flea topical

For dogs:

  • DAPP vaccine (Protects against  distemper, adenovirus, parvovirus, and parainfluenza. Some may require a series of vaccines for this)
  • Bordetella vaccine (protects against kennel cough)
  • Rabies vaccine
  • 4DX (test for heart worm & tick borne disease)
  • Fecal exam (check for intestinal parasites)
  • Preventatives
  • Dewormer
  • Spay/neuter and microchip
  • Health certificate

Emergency Medical

This can range from small injuries/illness to emergency life saving surgery.

Transportation Fees

Due to the overpopulation issue in Del Rio, we partner with out of town rescues that will provide a better chance at adoption. These rescues span all over the country and therefore, the BAM foster animals must be transported that distance.

Charitable Solicitation Disclosure
